CTR Manufacturing Industries Ltd, Nagar Road, Poona 411014, India, started commercial operations in the year 1966, initially manufacturing Cutters, Tap changers and Radiators from where the name CTR was derived. The Aurangabad factory was set up in 1976 when the company diversified into electronics. At present there are five distinct manufacturing divisions, namely 1. On Load Tap changers, 2. Radiators, 3. Railway Track Maintence equipment, 4. Fire Systems, 5. Electronics. We are market leaders in each product line, with a strength of 440 employees, including 25 Managers, 30 Engineers, 33 Supervisors, 10 Design and 24 Quality personnel. The Poona factory is ISO 9001:2000 accredited.
CTR Manufacturing Industries Limited, E-1, Chikalthana, Aurangabad commenced operations in the year 1976. The Plant, machinery and technology was supplied by Condensators Fribourg SA Switzerland. The factory initially manufactured only Metallised Polyester and Plain Polystyrene capacitors exporting to the USA. The installed plant capacity was 10 million capacitors per annum. In the year 1986 export was discontinued to meet increased domestic demand. Exports have again commenced of specific products.
Total investment today is approx. Rs. 65.0 mn and the installed capacity 40 million capacitors per annum. CTR has expanded its product range to match International requirements and has added many fully automatic machines to enhance capacity and reduce lead times. CTR has, over the years, added other dielectrics such as Metallised Polycarbonate, Metallised Polypropylene, Double Metallised Polyester/Polypropylene, Plain Polyester, Plain Polypropylene etc. The Electronics division is ISO 9001:2000 accredited.

An ISO 9001:2000 company and having the largest list of approvals from Defence, Telecom, Safety, Space, Automobile and a Recipient of several Awards for Excellance.
Marketing network consists of zonal offices and authorised stockists nationwide. Marketing is further strengthened by a team of Application Engineers, who regularly visit customers and provide technical assistance including selection from a wide range, and guidance for cost effective solutions. Due to aggressive value engineering and economies of scale, have been able to continue to offer competitive price over the years.
Stringent process control has resulted in achieving zero defect product, leading to customer satisfaction and Green channel vendor status. Continual research and development has resulted in market Leadership. Custom built capacitors, including import substitution and small batch quantities are same of the strengths of the company.
Two percent of mandays are used for training by inhouse and external faculty. Every individual is involved in small group interaction activities. Employees are also deputed outside factory to attend training programmes. Customer focus is achieved through Technical Seminars and participation in exhibitions. CTR practices self appraisal of performance at all levels of the organisation. Involvement of employees is also encouraged by encouraging two suggestions per employee per quarter.
