Output Connections (3-Wire & 4-wire DC)

These switches are available for DC voltages from 5 V to 240 V. Standard models operate on 10-30 V DC and can be used with Logic circuits, Counters or to drive Relay Coil directly.
The output of these switches can be either PnP or NpN or both.

To select an appropriate type of proximity sensor for your applications, following criteria should be considered;

  1. Object Material, Object Size & Object Texture
  2. Distance of object from sensor (in mm)
  3. Mounting space available
  4. Ambient temperature.
  5. Object movement speed relative to fixed / moving sensor.
  6. Surrounding Environmental factors like dust, dirt, splashing coolants etc.
  7. Output Load Current requirement.
  8. Available supply voltage with possible variations.
